MAT February 2017 Notification

Dear MBA Aspirants,

Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is a standardised test being administered since 1988 to facilitate Business Schools (B-Schools) to screen candidates for admission to MBA and allied programmes. Govt. of India, Ministry of HRD approved MAT as a national level test in 2003. Any B-School - national or international - can consider MAT Score as an admission input based on the Score Cards issued to the candidates. The largest test of its kind in the nation, MAT will continue to be your passport to over 600 B-Schools across India.

The application process of MAT February 2017 is given below:

Step:1 Register for the MAT February 2017 exam on MAT website

Step:2 Visit the respective B-school website accepting MAT scores to complete the application process in order to be eligible for the 2nd Stage of Admission process.

Last Date to Apply Last date of Online Registration:   27th January 2017 upto 2:00 P.M.(In this case, do NOT send the printout of the Registration Form. However, the candidate should retain a Printout of Registration Form for reference.)
Late Date for Online Filling-up/ Purchase of Form:   24th January 2017 and
Last Date for Submission of duly completed Form at AIMA, New Delhi. Printout of Registration:  27th January 2017

Eligibility Graduates in any discipline. Final year students of Graduate Courses can also apply.
Test Date Paper based:  5th February 2017 Computer based:  11th February 2017 onwards**
**If the number of candidates registered for Computer Based Test is limited and can be accommodated in a single day; the test will be completed on 11 Feb 2017 itself.
Test Time Paper based: 10.00am-12.30pm
Computer based: In different Time slots at specific test venues;  subject to number of candidates registering for Computer Based Test.
Test Pattern MAT consists of 200 questions to be answered in 150 mins. Each question has 4 options with 5 Sections: Language Comprehension, Mathematical Skills, Data Analysis and Sufficiency, Intelligence and Critical Reasoning, Indian and Global Environment. Marking Pattern 1/4th mark is deducted for each incorrect answer.
Test Centres The MAT exam will be administered at 36 test centres across 22 cities in India and 2 centres outside India (Dubai and Singapore). Click here to view the test centres in India
Mode of Application Paper-based and Computer based
Application Fees Rs. 1,200/-
Mode of Application

Candidate can choose any one of the following modes to apply:
1. Register online at website link: with Credit Card/Debit Card/ Net Banking.
2. Obtain crossed Demand Draft (DD) of Rs 1,200/- (One thousand two hundred only) in favour of ‘All India Management Association’ payable at Delhi from any Bank. Register online at website link: along with the DD details.
3. Obtain OMR Registration Form with MAT Bulletin/CD against cash payment of Rs 1,200/- (One thousand two hundred only) from AIMA, New Delhi.

List of Participating MIs** Four Digit codes for Management Institutes/University Departments accepting the MAT Score are given in the List of Participating Institutes/Universities as MI Code. There are five blocks consisting of four boxes each given in the Form. Fill the codes of those five institutes only where you have applied or are applying for admission. No additional fee is to be paid for filling these 5 choices.Important Notice: Applicants are advised to check the approval/recognition status of various programs directly from the concerned Authorities/ Institutes/ Universities.

B-schools accepting MAT Kindly note that students have to register for the MAT and need to apply separately to the B-school by visiting their respective website in order to be eligible for admission.

**AIMA has come across a couple of cases where the aspiring candidates’ MAT score is not accepted by some participating institutes/universities for admission to MBA full time course despite their confirmation to AIMA at the time of participation by incorporating their notifications in MAT bulletin. candidates are advised to recheck with the concerned institutes/universities before applying for MAT.

Candidates who wish to apply beyond these 5 choices, need to fill a separate form and apply for their choice of institute by paying an additional fees of Rs. 75/- per additional institute. Click here to view the form.
