MAT May 2018 Notification is out!
Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is a standardised test being administered since 1988 to facilitate Business Schools (B-Schools) to screen candidates for admission to MBA and allied programmes. Govt. of India, Ministry of HRD approved MAT as a national level test in 2003. Any B-School - national or international - can consider MAT Score as an admission input based on the Score Cards issued to the candidates. The largest test of its kind in the nation, MAT will continue to be your passport to over 600 B-Schools across India.
The application process of MAT May 2018 is given below:
Step 1: Register for the MAT May 2018 exam as per the details below.
Step2: Visit the respective B-school website accepting MAT scores to complete the application process in order to be eligible for the 2nd Stage of Admission process.

|Test Date||Paper based: 6th May 2018 Computer based: 20th May 2018 onwards**
**If the number of candidates registered for Computer Based Test is limited and can be accommodated in a single day; the test will be completed on 20th May 2018 itself.
|Test Time||Paper based: 10.00am-12.30pm
Computer based: In different Time slots at specific test venues; subject to number of candidates registering for Computer Based Test.
|Test Pattern||MAT consists of 200 questions to be answered in 150 mins. Each question has 4 options with 5 Sections: Language Comprehension, Mathematical Skills, Data Analysis and Sufficiency, Intelligence and Critical Reasoning, Indian and Global Environment. |Marking Pattern||1/4th mark is deducted for each incorrect answer.|
|Test Centres||Paper-based test: The MAT May PBT exam was administered at 60 test centres across 31 states in India.
Computer-based test: The MAT May CBT exam was administered at 26 test centres across 21 states in India.

The fees details are given below:
For PBT or CBT : Rs 1,550/-
For Both PBT and CBT : Rs 2,650/-
Candidate can opt for both the tests i.e. PBT and CBT by paying an extra fees of Rs.1,100/- in addition to Rs.1,550/-.
Candidates opting for both PBT and CBT will have the benefit of selecting additional 2 Management Institutions for sending their scores in addition to existing option of selecting 5 Management Institutions i.e. they can select 7 Management Institutions in total.

|List of Participating MIs**||Four Digit codes for Management Institutes/University Departments accepting the MAT Score are given in the List of Participating Institutes/Universities as MI Code. There are five blocks consisting of four boxes each given in the Form. Fill the codes of those five institutes only where you have applied or are applying for admission. No additional fee is to be paid for filling these 5 choices. Important Notice: Applicants are advised to check the approval/recognition status of various programs directly from the concerned Authorities/ Institutes/ Universities.|

Registered candidates for Computer Based Test: on or after 12 May 2018 (Saturday).
Specific Admit Card is generated both for the candidates opted for the Paper Based Test and for the Computer Based Test. Admit Card contains Candidate's Name, Form No, Roll No, Test Date, Test Time and Test Venue Address. Candidate has to strictly follow the date and time allotted to him/her in the case of Computer Based Test.
|B-schools accepting MAT||Kindly note that students have to register for the MAT and need to apply separately to the B-school by visiting their respective website in order to be eligible for admission.

**AIMA HAS COME ACROSS A COUPLE OF CASES WHERE THE ASPIRING CANDIDATES’ MAT SCORE IS NOT ACCEPTED BY SOME PARTICIPATING INSTITUTES/UNIVERSITIES FOR ADMISSION TO MBA FULL TIME COURSE DESPITE THEIR CONFIRMATION TO AIMA AT THE TIME OF PARTICIPATION BY INCORPORATING THEIR NOTIFICATIONS IN MAT BULLETIN. CANDIDATES ARE ADVISED TO RECHECK WITH THE CONCERNED INSTITUTES/UNIVERSITIES BEFORE APPLYING FOR MAT.(Note: No additional fee is to be paid for filling these 5 choices.)
Candidates, who wish to apply beyond these 5 choices, need to fill a separate form and apply for their choice of institute by paying additional fees of Rs. 75/- per additional institute. The link to view the form shall be out soon.
