MH-CET 2018 Notification!!

Dear MBA Aspirants,

The MH-CET 2018 notification for MBA – MMS 2018 – 20 programs is out!!

MH-CET or MAH-MBA/MMS-CET is the State Level entrance test for admission to MBA/MMS programs affiliated to Maharashtra State Universities. The test is conducted by Directorate for Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra. This is followed by a common admission Process (CAP). Hence, the CET is a gateway to esteemed top colleges like JBIMS*, SIMSREE, PUMBA & many other colleges in Maharashtra.

The Provisional Allotment for CAP round I is out! Candidates can click here and enter their MB-ID and DOB to check the allotment status.

Step 1) Exercise one of the 3 options mentioned below:
FREEZE: Confirm admission in the allotted institute and doesn’t want to participate in next CAP Rounds.
Do NOT Freeze i:e

SLIDE: Accept allotted seat (Provisionally) and wishes to participate in the next CAP rounds for better program in the SAME institute allotted. OR FLOAT: Accept allotted seat (Provisionally) and wishes to participate in the next CAP rounds for better institute.

CONCLUSION: WE RECOMMEND TO exercise “Do Not Freeze option” till a candidate doesn’t GET the BEST Institute, update the same ONLINE and visit ARC in PERSON. Check detailed steps on page 3.

Step 2) Any CANDIDATE whether opting for FREEZE, Do NOT Freeze (SLIDE or FLOAT option) NEEDS TO VISIT AN ARC Centre and confirm his choice by paying FEES between 6th to 8th July 2018.

Step 3) Post selecting Do NOT Freeze (FLOAT/SLIDE) Option, For CAP Round II, a candidate can ADD/EDIT institutes and submit Online option form for CAP ROUND II between 10th to 12th July 2018.

A Candidate who has not been allotted any institute in ROUND I can wait for CAP ROUND II.

  1. No need to visit ARC for this CAP Round.
  2. Candidates who MISSED to fill the Online Option form for CAP Round I can now Fill the Option form for CAP ROUND II and participate in CAP rounds. As per DTE information brochure (page 7)

Following are the MH-CET 2018 registration details:

Test Name MH-CET (Maharashtra Common Entrance Test) 2018
Registration Starts 22nd January 2018
Last Date to Apply 14th February 2018 Extended till 17th February 2018
Eligibility for MBA/MMS MH-CET 2017 Passed minimum 3 year duration bachelor’s degree awarded by any of the Universities recognised by University Grants Commission or Association of Indian Universities in any discipline with at least 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent (at least 45% in case of candidates backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging to Maharashtra State only) or its equivalent.
OR
Appeared for the final year examination of any Bachelor's degree to be awarded by any of the Universities recognised by University Grants Commission or Association of Indian Universities  in any discipline.(Refer the note for more details^)
Test Date 10th and 11th March 2018
Test Time The Test is of 150 minutes (2.5 hours). Timings shall be announced
Test Pattern The CET comprises multiple choice objective type questions in the areas of Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Aptitude, Logical and Abstract Reasoning. Click here to check the structure and syllabus.
Marking Pattern 1 mark for correct answer and no negative marking for any incorrect answer.
Test Cities/Centres MH-CET 2018 shall be conducted in 37 cities within Maharashtra and 10 cities outside Maharashtra. Click here to check the list of cities
Mode of Application Online Applications only. Application fees can be paid through Credit Card, Debit Card (RuPay/Visa/Master card/Maestro) Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/Mobile Wallets.
No other mode of payment shall be permitted. This fee is non-refundable under any circumstances.
Application Fees For open category candidates from Maharashtra state, outside Maharashtra state (OMS), J & K Migrant candidates - Rs. 1,000/-.
For candidates of backward class categories (SC, ST, VJ/DT- NT (A), NT (B), NT (C), NT (D), OBC, SBC) and persons with disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra state only - Rs.800/-.

^Please Note:

  • Aggregate marks means the grand total of marks obtained by the candidate in subjects on which the class declaration is made in the particular University from which the candidate is passing the qualifying examination.
  • In case the candidates are awarded grades/CGPA instead of marks, the conversion of grades/CGPA to percentage of marks would be based on the procedure certified by the University/institution from where they have obtained the bachelor's degree.
  • The percentage of marks shall be calculated by rounding off to two places after decimal.
  • The candidates belonging to SC, VJ/DT (NT (A)), NT (B), NT(C), NT (D), OBC and SBC categories should produce “Caste Validity Certificate” issued by Scrutiny Committee of Social Welfare Department and the Candidate belonging to ST category should submit “Tribe Validity Certificate” issued by Scrutiny Committee of Tribal Department and valid Non Creamy Layer certificate except SC, ST candidates at the time of verification of documents.
