If you have a high accuracy [85-90%] in your attempts, you can expect a very good percentile.

They will try and accommodate all candidates within this year's testing period. If there is a need to extend beyond 7 December, IIMs will announce this as soon as a decision has been made.

Have patience, prometric will send the SMS and emails. You can try calling them and ensure to keep calm because test is definitely going to get resheduled

What IIMs decide to do, we think they will be rational and impartial, have faith

You can get overall 90% without attempting one section and outperforming in other tw. HOWEVER, IIMs and other leading institutes require that you perform well across ALL THREE section. Hence even if you score well, it will be fruitless. It is recommended you try to score well in all three sections.

Dont worry about that, the prometric mods would have told you then and there about it.

I have read the opinion of 80% attempts with 80% accuracy is good. Is it good enought to get calls from IIMs? It should fetch you a good percentile. A call depends on a lot of other things like past acad record and work ex. But with a good percentile one can be rest assured to be a step closer to the calls. All the best!    

Based on last few days, what would you say would be a decent number of attempts to get calls from few IIMs   There is nothing like a 'decent' attempt...will you be able to answer 15 questions just because I say that it is a decent attempt and given that you dont know how to solve them!! The point is that you simply need to solve as many questions as possible without compromising on your accuracy.

There is no need to be frustrated, relax, there are lot of people waiting for their test to be rescheduled

Level of difficulty is a very relative term...geometry might be tough for one person and easy for another...so please do not worry about the same.

Hey do not worry about what score will give you what percentile...at this stage focus on maximising your score and getting as much marks as possible..stay focused and calm

Don't be tensed. Just relax and give your best. As for FPM, it is more of selection than elimination (which is the case for PGP courses) Percentiles are not a major hindrance and the final selection is based on round of interviews and discussions with faculties of IIM. It depends upon every institutes selection criteria. Some are transparent abt their selection process some are not.    

My accuracy in VA is not that good. by your experience, what is a better strategy, maximizing attempts n taking chances or be conservative in attempts and mark only the ones I am 100% sure of?  
We would suggest to by the strategy that has worked for you in past SIMCATs and all other test.

That is fairly decent attempt. Keep your fingers crossed. :) Also, keep focussed for the rest of the tests you have applied for and do very well there! :)    

As one of the faculty of every institute goes 2 giv da test. to gauge da level of the test..How many questions can b easily done in da given time frame at superlative level??  
For average to good students, time should not be a constraint this year.    

In your earlier chats you had mentioned 75-80% attempts with 80% accuracy,so that amounts to 16 attempts in each with 13 right and effectively 12 right including negatives...so 36 right effectively is enough for IIM calls as per you?  
These are postulations, it doesnt mean restrict your self with the attempts, try to maximize your score to ensure calls from IIMs

Decent is a pretty subjective term. However, as we have stated earlier, over 75% of attempts with more than 80% of accuracy spread well across three section will be a good attempt for top institutes.

We recommend you not to go with a fix strategy, give your best shot and relax, if you have prepared everything you will get calls

Repeat: How is IMS planning to come up with sectional cut-offs and percentiles? what data are you going to use? just the mere student surveys you are conducting?  
As IIMs have not given any indication on the methodology of declaring percentiles and cut offs this year, any speculation in this regard will be futile. We understand that as a student, most of you must be worried about cut offs etc. However, as the test has changed, the selection parameters can as well change. So just don't worry about them as of now. Do your very best in the test. Rest assured that even IIMs want the best students. :)
