You must understand that CAT is not the one and only one exam by which you can get into good B-schools, there are many good colleges which accepts scores other than CAT, so concentrate on your studies. All the Best |

Go thru past papers and you will realise that though you have questions based on advanced math, you can do well if you are conversant with the basics of prob theory, matrices and calculus. and if you are not, you still have enough questions outside these concepts that you can attempt and clear the cut-offs |

Hello Sir, I have been pretty intrigued that the IIMs have been MUM so far regarding the criteria of evaluvation and filtering of candidates for the GD/PI process. As mentioned by the IIMs, I am pretty satisfied that the difficulty level on the overall was equal across all test slots, but there was a variance in the sectional difficulty of the papers. So, Is there a chance that IIM sets a low cut-off that is same across 3 sections but a high overall cut-off? |

That has always been the case...for instance, IIM-A last year had 98 percentile as the overall cut-off and 95 percentile as the sectional cut-offs |

CET is a speed test with 200 questions to be attempted in 150 minutes...a lot of questions based on reasoning with almost 50 LR and 30 Visual reasoning question. Math and Verbal are relatively easier than CAT (as of last year) |

We will be starting with the communication skill builder session in all of our centres post Dec 15th...and you MUST attend these sessions irrespective of your performance in CAT...after all there is nothing to lose. Kindly let me know how you are predicting the percentiles with the no. of attempts. Neither the marking pattern(3:1 or 4:1 or 5:2) nor the accuracy(though students may say 80% or 90% accuracy) is clearly known.
My WORST CASE ANALYSIS of my attempts are 31 correct and 12 wrong. What could my percentile be thru ur analysis. Will I get any calls from the IIMs(excluding the new 3 IIMs) with this score. |
