'MaxPrep Design' is an IMS Training Program for entrance tests to National Institute of Design, National Institute of Fashion Technology and other prominent design schools like Pearl, SID and Srishti for their undergraduate programmes to be pursued after 10+2.

Design is not only about the appearance, but a major role it plays in the functionality of the product. You admire a website design or special effects in movie — there is graphic designer behind this. To be part of Design field, you should have special interest in art and design, talent for sketching and drawing, a sense of colour and proportion, creativity, self motivation and sensitivity towards your surroundings. National Institute of Design
The National Institute of Design (NID) is internationally acclaimed as one of the foremost multi-disciplinary institutions in the field of design education and research. Eligibility: Admission is open to candidates who have passed or are about to appear for the qualifying +2 level examination in the 10 + 2 pattern of any recognized Central/State Board of Secondary Examination, such as the CBSE, New Delhi, and the Council for Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi.
Selection Process: Aspirants are selected through a 2-stage selection process.
First stage of selection:
National Entrance Examination for Design (NEED) -written test
Aspirants who qualify the first stage are shortlisted for the second Stage.
Second stage of selection:
Workshop activity termed as Studio Test, Interview and Portfolio Presentation.
Apart from NID, NEED is a qualifying examination for 8-Prominent Design Schools.

Change of Name of the Entrance Test:
Please note that till the last examination, the entrance test to Undergraduate Programs at NID was called as “Design Aptitude Test” and it was applicable for admissions solely to NID, Ahmedabad. From the year 2009 (onwards), the name of the entrance examination to Undergraduate Programmes has been changed to NEED i.e. “National Entrance Examination for Design”. Please do not mistake this with the similar sounding examination called as CEED i.e. “Common Entrance Examination in Design” which is an entrance test to post graduate design programs in IITs. And the entrance examination for Postgraduate Programmes at NID is now being named as DAT i.e. Design Aptitude Test.

Aptitude Test Material

Creativity Test Material
Basic skills of drawing and sketching are indispensable for the Creative Ability Test of various Design schools. Another important aspect of your drawing is 'perspective' and 'proportion' as you are asked to complete your drawing in the given space and in accordance with the given specifications. While drawing, you are asked to consider a number of elements to be drawn proportionately with correct dimensional views. One of the important aspect that should reflect in your drawings is the knowledge of colours. Practice Tests
In any objective-type test, both accuracy and time are crucial factors for success. These can be achieved only by taking the tests in simulated conditions, i.e., within the specified time and in one sitting. ADMAT (Additional Material) for Prominent Design Schools
