As assessed, CAT stuck to last year's structure. There were some surprises with respect to the type of question in DI. The questions in CAT 2007 were very similar to that in the SimCATs.
The surprise in the test was that there was no surprise.
It’s good to see data sufficiency back as it is a true test of managerial potential in aspirants.
Comprehensive paper testing all the necessary areas. It seems to approach the GMAT structure.
Quantitative Ability was tougher than CAT 06. This year we saw caselets & I am sure our students wouldn’t have had problems.
One of the good old days CAT. All sections had an above average level of difficulty.
Easier compared to CAT 2006. Verbal Ability grammar & vocabulary based instead of reasoning. RC was difficult. Students could have attempted 23 questions in the given 50 minutes.
5 sets of DI of which 2 sets were intensive calculation and the other 3 were simple. 4 DS questions, all easy.
The paper was quite challenging & time consuming.
Not a test of completion like CAT 06. Good students should solve 10-15 questions of PS in 50 minutes.
Math was less concept driven & more logic based.
