The Maharashtra CET for seeking admission to MMS/MBA programs in the state is scheduled on the 21th of February 2010. You surely have several questions running in your mind. IMS brings in the answers for you.

When can I apply for the CET?
Step 1: Procure the Information Brochure from select post offices from 18th January to 3rd February 2010. The list of Post Offices has been released in the notification. It is mandatory to purchase the Information Brochure along with the ‘MAH/MMS-CET 2010 Kit’ from a specified post office Click here to view a list of Post Offices» http://220.226.205.251/mbacet2010/StaticPages/frmMaharashtraMAP.aspx
Step 2: Aspiring candidates are required to register their name online on the website www.dte.org.in.mba for which the Application ID and password is supplied in the kit.
Step 3: Candidates are supposed to submit online application through Internet.
Candidate is also required to paste the recent photo and put signature provided on the sheet provide in the kit which is to be scanned and uploaded on the website as per given guidelines. The candidates have to confirm the registration online itself.
The Online System shall generate the Hall Ticket for CET bearing name of the candidate, the photo and signature of the candidate, CET venue an.
All India candidates who wish to apply for admission through CAP only on the basis of CAT 2009 against All India seats will have to compulsorily register for CET.
However the Hall ticket for CET shall not be issued to such candidates. Such candidates can take a print out of the submitted application for future reference.
Candidates who have appeared/appearing for MAT (Feb 2010), ATMA, XAT, JMET are eligible only for Institute level seats. D
Maharashtra State candidates can apply through Mah CET and/or All India Entrance test ( CAT’10) , however the score which is higher would be considered for the CAP rounds.
What is the application fee?
Application form processing fees (including fees for GD/PI) s stated below is to be paid at identified in cash only. No other mode of payment shall be permitted.

Maharashtra State and J & K migrant candidates who wish to apply against All India quota based
on their CAT 2009 score are required to purchase only single Information brochure along with the
Application Kit.
This fee is non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances.
What are the documents required while submitting the application form?
- Candidates are required to carry original documents for verification and submit attested Xerox copies of the following certificates tes at the time of confirmation of CAP application form at the ARC.
- Certificate of Indian Nationality* in the name of the candidate
- Statement of marks in HSC and SSC
- Statement of marks for Bachelor’s Degree examination (i.e. the qualifying degree examination) in case the candidate has passed the Bachelor’s Degree Examination. (Candidates who have appeared for the final year degree examination have time limit up to 25th September 2010 to procure the same)
- Caste Certificate (if applicable)
- Caste /Tribe Validity Certificate ( If applicable )
- Non Creamy Layer Certificate (if applicable)
- Domicile certificate (if applicable), clearly indicating the place of permanent residence of the candidate/father or mother or spouse
- Certificates in Proforma A, B, C, D, E ,F ,G and H as applicable
- Undertaking in proforma I in Original
- Receipt of payment made at post office
- Any other relevant document
- At the time of admission of respective institutes
- School Leaving Certificate indicating the Nationality of the candidate as ‘Indian’
- Indian Passport in the name of the candidate, issued by appropriate authorities.
- Birth Certificate of the Candidate indicating the place of birth in India
- No documents are needed at the time of filling online form for MAH-MBA/MMS-CET '10. However no change in the information once filled is permitted at a later date.

Is there any minimum percentage requirement for applying?
Yes. In order to secure admission to the 2-year full time MMS/MBA/BPDBM/PGDBA programs, the candidate should have passed a Bachelor’s Degree (of minimum 3 years duration) with a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate (40% in the case of candidates of backward class categories belonging to Maharashtra State only) in any discipline from a university recognized by the Association of Indian Universities.
OR
Appeared for final year examination of any Bachelor’s Degree (of minimum 3 years duration) from a university recognized by the Association of Indian Universities. Such candidates can be considered for provisional admission subject to passing the degree examination with a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate (40% in the case of candidates of backward class categories belonging to Maharashtra State only)

What is the test timing?
The test is for duration of 2 ½ hours from 2:00 to 4:30 p.m. Candidates are required to report to the test centre ½ hour ahead of the start time.

What are the steps in the selection procedure?
- Registering for CET
- Appearing for the MAH-MBA/MMS-CET 2010
- Declaration of CET 10 results
- Registration for the GD/PI
i. Register for GD/PI through candidate’s login.
ii. Candidate selects available dates for GD/PI through candidate’s login
iii. Candidate is allotted a venue and date
iv. System generates “GD/PI Call Letter”. Candidate takes a print out.
