“The Verbal section was very easy and could be easily tackled by an average student. It was not at all reading intensive and the major focus was on grammar and usage”

Maharashtra CET, held on 17 February 2008, was easy compared to last year’s test.  Most of the questions in Problem Solving, Logical Reasoning, Data Interpretation and Verbal Ability had “None of These” as the fifth option, which could confuse the students.
The Verbal Ability, Verbal Reasoning and Reading Comprehension questions were very simple. Compared to 2007, CET 2008 was easier mainly because there were fewer number of questions on Verbal Reasoning and they were of a lower level of difficulty

Some of the questions from Visual Reasoning and Data Interpretation were very similar to the ones that appeared in SIMCET 1 and SIMCET 4. .

Overall, one could attempt 150+ questions in this paper and a key to success would be a judicious selection of questions coupled with good accuracy.
