What is GMAT?
The Graduate Management Admission Test® (GMAT®) is taken by students aspiring to enrol for an MBA or a PhD in Business Management or a Masters program in Finance, Human Resources etc. from a business school in US, Europe or Canada. The GMAT® is also accepted by many universities in Australia, New Zealand and Singapore.

The GMAT® is published by ACT Inc. under the sponsorship of the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) and is administered by Pearson Vue in India.

Universities in US require 16 years education for admission to graduate studies which may be waived off if you have more than 3 years of work experience by some universities. For students with work experience less than 3 years, the academic record plays a very important role. It ultimately shows how well you managed your time, resources and money as a student.

Currently, the GMAT costs US $250 which includes score reporting to 5 Universities of your choice. Additional score reports cost US $28 per University. The fee is subject to change without prior notice and it is suggested that the student confirm the same from the appropriate sources.

GMAT® Structure:
GMAT is a Computer Adaptive Test (CAT) that picks questions based on the test taker's response to the given question. The first question is always of medium difficulty level and from then on the score graph starts to move upward or downward as per the performance of the test-taker. Test-takers of higher calibre will get tougher questions than others as a result of their performance. As the test progresses, the score graph begins to narrow down to a range which will determine the final score
