MBA is a two year program where during the I year, students get an overview of all the areas of specialization namely Finance, Marketing, HR etc. and specialize in one of them during the II year.

However, some B-schools, in addition to regular courses, offer some 'Specialized Programs' with which focus only on one stream from the very beginning. IIM-C's PGD in Computer Aided Management, IIM-A's PGD in Agri Business Management etc. are such courses.

Apart from this, there are Specialized institutes like IIFT, IRMA etc. which are dedicated in the pursuit of singular specializations

From a long-term career perspective, you need to be very clear about your career interests before you apply to any of these 'Specialized Programs'
