Admission Information:
Applicants are required to take the Admission Test (XAT) to be conducted by XLRI, Jamshedpur, on 3rd January, 2010. For this, applicants have to log on to www.xlri.edu and apply online for XAT. Registering for XAT is a prerequisite for applying to XIMB.

In an academic year, we offer admission to about 5 candidates.
The applicant must write any one of the following written tests: CAT, UGC NET, XAT, GATE*, or the XIMB Research Aptitude Test (XIMB-RAT). For the purpose of FPM admission, CAT, GATE* and XAT scores will be considered valid for a period of 5 years. XIMB-RAT will be conducted only at Bhubaneswar. Based on their performance in the written test as well as their academic and professional achievements, a selected group of applicants will be invited to our campus at Bhubaneswar for an assessment of their research aptitude and preparedness for taking up doctoral-level work in management. All the invited applicants will be offered local hospitality, but no travel allowance.
*GATE score is considered for admission in Operations Management & Decision Sciences and Information Systems areas only
Eligibility:
Post-graduates in any discipline (or professional field) related to management with at least 55% marks (or working graduate engineers with at least 55% marks, having at least 2 years of work experience) are eligible to apply for the full-time FPM. In case the score is available on a letter-grade system, the Institute expects a minimum cumulative score of 4.80 on an 8-point scale (or 6.00 on a 10-point scale). Although the eligibility is defined in these terms, the Institute prefers applicants who have excellent academic record as well as rich managerial experience.
