BASIC INFORMATION

HISTORY

The Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies (JBIMS) was established by the University of Bombay in 1965 in collaboration with the Graduate School of Business, Stanford University with the objective of pioneering and furthering post - graduate management education in India.

Hostel Facility

JBIMS has 3 hostels for students who are not from Mumbai.

IT Facility

The Computer Centre is equipped with Pentium based workstations that are connected to various statistical and analytical packages, project management software, business environmental simulation software amongst others, the students have access to this excellent facility complemented by twenty-four hour Internet connectivity.

Library

With a collection of close to 40,000 books in addition to thousands of journals and theses, the library is reckoned as one of the best in town. The library has the best possible research material including the latest writings of management gurus, popular management texts, classical books on management and much more. With roughly four books added each day, the collection is only getting bigger. There are 38,762 Books, 116 Journals (50 Foreign, 45 Indian and 21 Exchange) and 8,657 Bound Journals.
