To empower meritorious students belonging to Scheduled Caste fulfill their aspirations for higher education in management by preparing them for various national and state level management entrance tests like CAT, XAT etc.
The six month intensive training program is designed to help students prepare for Entrance Tests conducted by Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs), Faculty of Management Studies (FMS) - Delhi, Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), XLRI and other reputed National and State Level Institutes of Management Education.
Aspects like English Language, Vocabulary, Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Ability, Data Interpretation, preparation for Group Discussion and Personal Interview will be covered in the training program. Our experts will provide students with personal attention and guidance. The program will consist of Study Material, Work Books, work sheets, In-class and Take-Home Tests, Simulated Tests, Group Discussion Sessions, Personal Interview Sessions and Information Seminars on Career Options.
The training program shall commence on 1st March 2008 at Hyderabad. It will be conducted 5 days a week (Monday - Friday) between 10.00 am to 5.00 pm over a period of 6 months.
The scheme shall be implemented under the aegis of the AP Scheduled Castes Co-operative Finance Corporation and training will be imparted by IMS Learning Resources Pvt. Ltd with the support of Nagesh Rane Memorial Trust.
Scheduled Caste Graduates from any Stream; with an annual income less than Rs. One Lakh, having scored a minimum of 45% marks in graduation are eligible to apply for the training program.
Interested students must apply through an online form available at the bottom of this page. A selection test will be conducted on 10th February, 2008 in all the district headquarters of Andhra Pradesh, Tirupati and Vijaywada. Prior to the test, students will have to produce an attested copy of their degree, income and caste certificate at the venue.
The test shall be on the lines of Common Admission Test (CAT) with three sections - Problem Solving (PS), Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DI & LR) and Verbal Ability (VA). The duration of the test will be 2 hours and 30 minutes. The questions will have negative marking. To qualify in a section, a student will have to clear the cut off score for the section. However, only top 100 students based on their total score who qualify in all the individual sections of the test will be selected for the intensive training program.
The candidates will have to arrange for their boarding and lodging. However, they will be given a monthly allowance of Rs.1,000/- to cover these expenses.
Selected Students will have to pay Rs.2,809/- only towards 10% of the training fee of Rs.28,090/-. 40% of the training fee will be subsidized by the Nagesh Rane Memorial Trust. The remaining amount will be funded by the APSCCFC. The amount funded by the APSCCFC will be treated as an education loan with an annual interest rate of 6%, which will need to be repaid from December 2011 to December 2013 in monthly or quarterly installments.
