As per MH-CET 2018 CAP Process: Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies had followed the Common Admissions Process (CAP) carried out by DTE to offer admissions for its 2-year Masters in Management Studies (MMS) Programme, which is equivalent to a MBA.
For MH-CET 2019 no communication has been published on the official DTE or JBIMS website.
DTE Admission process is a bit complicated & lengthy. It follows the below steps before offering admission in MMS program:
Registration>Test>Results>Documents verification for candidature type confirmation (MH/OMS)> Merit List> CAP Admission process.
Hence, going by the above process which DTE has been following, they are expected to release the Provisional seat distribution matrix in May or June 2019 when the CAP rounds will begin. Hence, unfortunately we at IMS won't be in a position to give a definite response. Last year, DTE had published the Provisional Seat Distribution on 2nd June 2018. Visit here for details.
As a true mentor, motivator and guide, IMS would recommend interested MBA aspirants to register for MHCET 2019 and take the test to be eligible to participate in the CAP rounds in June. If DTE changes the seat distribution especially for JBIMS it will help the CET test takers. If it won't, there are still b-schools like SIMSREE, KJ Somaiya, Welingkar MMS, SIES, Xavier's which are good enough for a student who doesn't want to waste a year and pursue MBA with decent ROI as the fees for MMS program is defined by Shikshan Shulk Samiti which is much lesser than the PGDM programs offered by the same b-school.
-Institutes like KJ Somaiya, Welingkar, SIES offer MMS program (affiliated to Mumbai University) and PGDM program (offered by the institute)
-For MMS Programs: A candidate needs to register for Mh-CET Test & takes the test to be eligible for DTE CAP Rounds which shall offer a seat in any MBA institute in Maharashtra offering MMS program affiliated to Mumbai University.(CAP rounds are expected to begin in June 2019.)
-For PGDM Programs: Kindly note that if students are interested to apply for KJ Somaiya’s, Welingkar’s, SIES’s PGDM program, they need to apply separately to each of the institute by visiting the respective institute’s website.
-Sydenham is the only b-school in Mumbai offering a MMS and PGDM Program via DTE CAP rounds.
