XAT 2020 Test and XLRI Jamshedpur Application Process

Dear MBA Aspirants,

The XAT 2020 and XLRI-Xavier School of Management’s MBA 2020-2022 notification is out!

About XAT: Xavier Aptitude test (XAT) is a national level management aptitude test conducted by XLRI. The XAT score is being used by more than 150 institutes for admission.

The exam shall consist of the following sections: Verbal and Logical Ability, Decision Making, Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation and GK.

The application process for XAT and XLRI-Xavier School of Management is through the same application form.

News!!XLRI plans to open its new campus in Delhi-NCR for the academic session 2020-22 with two sections of its PGDBM Program from June 2020. This year XAT will accept applications from aspirants for not only the Jamshedpur campus but also for XLRI, Delhi-NCR campus subject to the formal approval from AICTE.

  • Indian Candidates applying for GMP through GMAT: Rs. 2500/-.

  • Recognized Bachelor’s Degree of minimum three years duration or equivalent in any discipline.
  • Those completing their final examination by June 10, 2020 may also apply.
  • All Indian candidates must appear for XAT 2020. However, NRI and Foreign candidates may apply through GMAT score.

  • XLRI Registration Fees:
    • Indian candidate registering through XAT 2020 Rs. 1700/- (XAT Registration Fees) and Rs 300/- each for every additional programme of XLRI
    • Foreign and NRI candidates registering through XAT 2020 $50 (XAT Registration Fees) and $25 each for every additional programme of XLRI
    • Foreign and NRI candidates through GMAT Rs. 5000/-

2nd Stage Selection Process: 
BM: GD for 20 minutes followed by a PI with mostly 3 panelists of 25-30 minutes.
HRM: Case study or group exercise for 20 minutes followed by a PI with three panelists.

 

  • I am in the final year of my graduation, what percentage should I fill in the form?
    Answer: Please enter the aggregate percentage of marks obtained till the time of filling the form.

  • I have done 5 years integrated course, so how will I enter my percentage?
    Answer: Candidates who have done 5 years integrated course can fill up the same percentage for graduation and post graduation.

  • How do I calculate the aggregate marks for CBSE /SSC. Is it the best 5 or all the subjects?
    Answer: The candidate should take the aggregate of all the subjects for 10th.

  • Does internship/Articleship counted as work experience?
    Answer: These are not counted as work experience

  • Does the work experience before Graduation is counted?
    Answer: No, it is not counted as work experience.

  • I am in the final year of my graduation, am I eligible to register for XLRI?
    Answer: Yes, you are eligible for admission to XLRI. You need to complete your final year examination by June 10, 2020.
