IIM Calcutta's One Year Residential Program for Executives gives mid-career professionals the ideal platform to augment their existing skill sets and equip themselves for senior and top management roles in the industry.

Selection of candidate is based on the following factors:

Candidates accepted to the IIM C PGEX need to fulfill these minimal criteria:

  • They need to be Executives with a bachelor's degree ( minimum 10+2+3 years of formal education) or equivalent in any discipline
  • Have more than 5 years of post qualification managerial/professional experience
  • A valid GMAT® score (taken within last 36 months of Application date) is also required.

Programme fees  for the 2016-17 intake are Indian Rupees 22,00,000/-(non-refundable) or equivalent US$ for one year, payable in four instalments as follows* :

  1. By15th December,2015(or last date of acceptance) Rs.4,00,000/-(1st instalment) 
  2. By20th and 21st April,2016(or date of registration) Rs.5,00,000/-(2nd instalment) 
  3. By 25th July, 2016 Rs.7,00,000/-( 3rd instalment) 
  4. By 28th November, 2016 Rs.6,00,000/-( 4th instalment)

Furthermore an amount of Rs.20,000/- has to be paid as refundable caution deposit at the time of registration. (Students provided with family accommodation will have to pay Rs 48,000/- extra.).

The programme fee includes tuition fees, cost of study material, accommodation and cost of study tours organised by IIMC. Airfare, visa and medical insurance charges for overseas study tours will be borne by the Institute.

However, students will have to bear the expenses for food, personal travel, electricity, cable TV, other utility and misc., expenses and any other expenses of personal nature during their stay in the campus or abroad.

*Program Fees for the 2017-18 intake have not been released as yet

The entire application for the IIM C PGPEX program is online. The documents that need to be sent with the IIM C PGPEX online application include:

  • Duly filled-in application form
  • Application fee paid by demand draft / banker’s cheque
  • GMAT® score card
  • Proof of proficiency in English, if applicable
  • Attested / notarized copies of transcripts of examinations passed / degrees obtained.
  • Statement of Purpose
  • Two Letters of Recommendation

Application Form:

The application form is a very important component of the IIM C PGPEX   application.  Every word in the application is vital and the overall presentation of the application forms should not be overlooked. IMS Experts will review your IIM C PGPEX application form to ensure that messaging is consistent and presentation on target.

Application Essays:

Candidates applying to the IIM C PGPEX   are required to submit a Statement of Purpose (word length 300 – 500) and essays . It is through these documents that the IIM C PGPEX admissions committee understands your story, your thought process and your ambitions. Your Statement of Purpose and Application Essays should cover the following themes:

    1. Your career goals
    2. Your accomplishments
    3. Your leadership potential
    4. Your ability to collaborate with people
    5. Your strengths and weaknesses.

You are evaluated on the basis of the impact you have – showcased via your essays. Your essays are a way for you to talk to the admissions committee and make a compelling case for your candidature.

Letters of Recommendation (LOR’s):

It is via your recommendation letters that the IIM C PGPEX admissions committee gets an evaluation of your candidacy from a third party perspective. Your recommenders assess you on the following aspects:

    1.  Your goals
    2. Your accomplishments
    3. Your leadership ability
    4. Your  teamwork ability
    5. Your analytical aptitude
    6. Your fit with the IIM C PGPEX

Your recommendations have to be in synchronization with what you showcase in your application essays.

Test Scores:

The IIM C PGPEX accepts the GMAT® score. Your performance on the GMAT® gives the admissions committee an understanding of your ability to cope with an academically rigorous curriculum.   However, no “cut off” criteria is applied to the GMAT® scores.
