The IIM Lucknow IPMX is designed for mid/senior level professionals, to prepare them for leadership roles. The overall goal of the programme is to broaden the core managerial competencies to further enhance the professional growth of students.

Selection of candidate is based on the following factors:

  • Professional Experience
  • Academic record
  • GMAT® score
  • Personal interviews.
  • Relevance and pertinence of the candidate’s Statement of Purpose
  • Quality of the two professional recommendations submitted by the candidate

Candidates need to demonstrate intellectual curiosity, leadership potential and the determination to succeed.

Candidates accepted to the IIM L IPMX  need to fulfill these minimal criteria:

  • Executive with Bachelor’s Degree (10+2+3) in any discipline or equivalent.
  • GMAT® score obtained from July 01, 2012 to October, 30, 2015.
  • Minimum of 5 years full time post-qualification (after Graduation) professional experience as on March 31, 2016

The fee for International Programme in Management for Executives (IPMX) is INR 19,11,000 which includes tuition, cost of course material, library, computer facilities, career counseling, student activities and mess charges, excluding accommodation charges at the Noida Campus, plus refundable caution money INR 20,000.

The fee also includes the cost of academic inputs, travel, visa and stay during the Overseas Module. Expenses for boarding and other incidentals like local transport, internet, telephone, stationery etc. during the Overseas Module, would be borne by the student.

All paid fee installment amounts are non-refundable.

  • At the time of acceptance of admission by third week of January, 2016 - INR 1,51,000 (This amount would be adjusted against the last installment.) Plus refundable caution money INR 20,000, Total = INR 1,71,000)
  • By 15 February 2016 - INR 4,40, 000 and accommodation charges as per allotment
  • By June 2016 - INR 4,40, 000
  • By September 2016 - INR 4,40, 000
  • By December, 2016 - INR 4,40, 000

The class consists of 63 handpicked individuals selected through a rigorous selection process. The professionals have distinct profiles and come with diverse experience in different Industries.

The average age of the class is 31 years and Average Professional Experience is 8.5 years. Fifty percent of the batch has on an average 2.5 years of international work experience.

IIM L IPMX offers both an offline and an offline admission process. If a candidate applies via the offline process then his/her online form will be considered null and void.

Application Form:

The application form is a very important component of the IIM L IPMX application.  Every word in the application is vital and the overall presentation of the application forms should not be overlooked. IMS Experts will review your IIM L IPMX application form to ensure that messaging is consistent and presentation on target.

Application Essays:

Candidates are required to submit a Statement of Purpose (word length 300 – 500) and essays . It is through these documents that the IIM L IPMX admissions committee understands your story, your thought process and your ambitions. Your Statement of Purpose and Application Essays should cover the following themes:

  2. Your accomplishments
  3. Your leadership potential
  4. Your ability to collaborate with people
  5. Your strengths and weaknesses.

You are evaluated on the basis of the impact you have – showcased via your essays. Your essays are a way for you to talk to the admissions committee and make a compelling case for your candidature.

Letters of Recommendation (LOR’s):

It is via your recommendation letters that the IIM L IPMX admissions committee gets an evaluation of your candidacy from a third party perspective. Your recommenders assess you on the following aspects:

  1. Your goals
  2. Your accomplishments
  3. Your leadership ability
  4. Your  teamwork ability
  5. Your analytical aptitude
  6. Your fit with the IIM L IPMX

Your recommendations have to be in synchronization with what you showcase in your application essays.

Test Scores:

The IIM L IPMX  accepts the GMAT® score. Your performance on the GMAT® gives the admissions committee an understanding of your ability to cope with an academically rigorous curriculum.   However, no “cut off” criteria is applied to the GMAT® scores.

The IIM L IPMX does not disclose recruitment statistics - students have been placed in sectors like manufacturing, IT, consulting, banking, medical, media etc. in the past. Major roles offered are like Product Manager, Program Manager, VP, GM, Center Head, Senior Consultant, Senior Manager etc
