Proctored & Pre-SimCATs:

1-16 Available

Note:

  • “All 16 tests will be in a 2-hour pattern”.
  • For each upcoming Proctored SimCAT, prior slot booking is mandatory for taking the test during the window period. Students need to book their slot on myIMS portal.
  • Student has to take the Proctored SimCAT during the pre-defined window period in order to be eligible for All India Ranking, Percentile and Detailed Performance Evaluation Report.
  • If a student misses to take the Proctored SimCATs within the window period, the test shall be available on their myIMS portal as an Unproctored (Take-home) SimCAT after the window period is over. However, for all Unproctored (Take-home) SimCATs, only Percentile and PER (performance evaluation report) shall be given.
  • As per CAT 2021 Notification , the exam is likely to have reduced no of questions in each of the 3 Sections of VARC, DILR and QA compared to CAT 2020 .Keeping this in mind , IMS has decided to release SimCAT 10-16 in the new / expected CAT 2021 pattern with lesser number of questions in each section as compared to CAT 2020 pattern.

Take-Home SimCATs

Note:

  • “All 25 tests will be in a 2-hour pattern”.
  • Unproctored (Take-home) SimCATs 101 to 125 will provide only Percentile and PER (performance evaluation report).
  • As per CAT 2021 Notification , the exam is likely to have reduced no of questions in each of the 3 Sections of VARC, DILR and QA compared to CAT 2020. Keeping this in mind , IMS has decided to release SimCAT 118-125 in the new / expected CAT 2021 pattern with lesser number of questions in each section as compared to CAT 2020 pattern.

Note:

  • Section Tests will be released in increasing levels of difficulty. Overall level of difficulty of Section Tests 1-3 will be Easy , 4-6 will be Moderate and 7-10 will be Difficult.
  • All Section tests will be in the 40 minute pattern of CAT 2020.

Note:

  • The already released tests will continue to be available in the three-format so that you can review the tests already taken.
  • It is not advisable to re-attempt the SimCATs already taken as you are already familiar with the content.
  • You have access to 40+ SimCATs AND 30 Sectional tests to ensure that you are well prepared for CAT’21.
  • The percentiles for all revised content will be made available once a statistically significant number of students have taken the tests (usually within 4-6 weeks of the release).
  • The Tests & Workshops will be deactivated on 31st March following the Exam year enrolled for.
