XAT 2018 Structure, Marking scheme

XLRI on behalf of XAMI shall conduct XAT 2018 test on 7th January 2018.

XAT 2018 Structure and marking pattern

The XAT 2018 exam shall consist of the following sections: Quantitative Ability, English Language & Logical Reasoning, Decision Making, GK and Essay Writing. XAT is yet to announce the break-up of number of questions and marking pattern for 2018. Stay tuned to get latest update about XAT 2018 structure and pattern.

The below information is as per XAT 2018 admit card.

XAT 2018 Structure

This examination consists of two parts: Part I and Part II.
Part I is expected to have 3 sections, i.e. a total of approximately 75 questions.

Note: The names of the 3 sections A, B, C is as per XAT 2017.

  • English Language & Logical Reasoning
  • Decision Making
  • Quantitative Ability

The three sections of Part I are followed by Part II with 25 GK questions and an essay.

XAT 2018 Marking Scheme

All questions carry EQUAL marks. Leaving a question UNATTEMPTED may result in a DEDUCTION OF 0.05 MARK. However, this deduction will not apply for a MAXIMUM OF 8 UNATTEMPTED QUESTIONS. The negative marking is 0.25 marks per question.

  • There shall be No Negative Marking for Part II.
  • The questions in the four sections are in the MCQ format with 5 options each.
