Set to begin in September 2025 for the 2025-27 academic year, graduates will earn a Blended Master of Business Administration (bMBA), which will pave the way for career advancement.

What are the Eligibility Criteria and Admission Process for the bMBA Program?

IIM Lucknow is inviting applications from working professionals and entrepreneurs for its two-year Blended Master of Business Administration (bMBA), set to graduate in 2027. The first cohort is scheduled to begin in September 2025, and candidates can now submit their applications starting last week. Due to IIM’s esteemed reputation, the admissions process is expected to be both competitive and selective. Below are the eligibility requirements, application and admission procedure for the bMBA program.

Educational  Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional qualification (CA/CS/ICWA).
Degree Awarding Body Must be awarded by a recognised university/institution in India or abroad.
Foreign Degree Recognition Mandatory recognition by AIU (Association of Indian Universities).
Formal Education Minimum of 15 years of formal education (10 + 2 + 3 or 4 system).
Academic Marks Minimum 50% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA.
Entrance Exam Score Must have a valid CAT/GRE/GMAT/GMAT (focus) score (centre-based only). Valid for the last five years.

Stage 1:  Screening Criteria
Bachelor’s Degree Minimum 50%.
Valid Test Score Valid CAT/GMAT/GRE score (centre-based only), valid for the last five years.
Work Experience At least 3 years of full-time experience as on August 31, 2025.
Stage 2: Shortlisting & Interview
Shortlisting Basis Based on academic profile, test scores, and experience.
Interview An online interview
Stage 3. Final Selection
Selection Basis Based on a composite score.
Offer Letters The final admit letters will be sent in September 2025.

Year 2 (Terms IV–VI)

Electives and Capstone

 In the second year, students in the Post Graduate Program (PGP) at IIM Lucknow can choose from a range of advanced electives, each worth 14 credits, in addition to a 2-credit capstone project, totalling 16 credits from electives. 

These elective courses cover various areas, including Strategy, Finance, Marketing, Information Technology Systems (ITS), Operations and Supply Chain Management, and Human Resources, all designed to align with the flagship PGP and provide a comprehensive and relevant learning experience. An option for an independent study course (CIS) is also available.

What is the Program Fee for the IIM Lucknow bMBA?

The total fee for the bMBA program is ₹14,95,000, which is payable in instalments before each term. This fee encompasses tuition costs, as well as all necessary reading materials and lunch provided during on-campus immersion sessions.

# Accommodation includes breakfast and dinner. Accommodation at IIM campuses is optional and subject to availability. Accommodation is on a twin-sharing basis.

Candidates selecting the IIM Lucknow campus or Noida as the test centre for Terms I, III, and V and availing on-campus accommodation during the examination will incur an additional fee of ₹10,000 per term.
