CUET PG 2026 Exams: Important Notice on Documents, Reporting Time, Food
The CUET PG 2026 exams have started on March 6 and will continue till Mar 27, 2026. The exam, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), will be held in a computer-based mode at designated centres across India.
The NTA has announced important guidelines for CUET PG 2026 outlining key instructions for candidates. These include rules for documents to carry, exam-day guidelines, and reporting and biometric requirements. NTA has also requested that students thoroughly cross-check their exam dates, venues, and other details on the admit card for the test day.
“Candidates are advised to verify the location of their test venue at least one day in advance to avoid any inconvenience on the day of the examination,” said NTA.
The notice also urged CUET PG 2026 students with disabilities to visit the venue beforehand to report any centre-specific issues so that the NTA can address them at the earliest.
The agency has stated that those who didn’t register through Aadhar or chose other identification methods should report to the venue earlier than the given time. Such candidates have to enter the centre at least an hour before the gate closing time to complete any additional verification procedures, according to the NTA.
As per the notice, NTA has also warned against any malpractices during the examinations, as the centres are under live CCTV surveillance and are equipped with jammers. Any student caught cheating can be potentially debarred from future exams.
CUET PG 2026: Important Documents
The NTA has urged students to carry the following documents:
- Admit card downloaded directly from the NTA website, on a clear colour printout on A4-sized paper
- 2 passport-sized photographs
- 1 valid photo proof issued by the government:
- PAN card
- Driving licence
- Voter ID
- Passport
- Aadhaar card
- e-Aadhaar
- Ration card
- Aadhar enrollment number with photo
The NTA has also prohibited students from carrying photocopies, scanned images, photos or attested copies of their IDs as proof. Such documents will not be accepted.
Candidates whose Aadhaar authentication did not match during the application process must carry a valid ID and reach the venue before the scheduled time for verification.
NTA has also urged CUET candidates to ensure that their biometrics authentication is not locked on the day of the examination during entry.
CUET PG 2026: List of Prohibited Things
The NTA has also listed a few things that are not allowed in the CUET PG 2026 exam venue:
- Mobile phones
- Smartwatches
- Calculators
- Other gadgets
- Packed foods
Candidates who carry valuable belongings to the centre will be responsible for their safety and NTA won’t take responsibility in case of theft or misplacement.
Diabetic candidates are allowed to carry eatables such as sugar tablets, fruit and water in transparent bottles.
CUET PG 2026: Other Important Instructions
- Arrive early so that formalities like frisking and attendance marking can be completed on time.
- Candidates arriving late after the gate closing time will not be allowed.
- Subject and medium on the screen should match the details on the admit card.
What is CUET PG?
CUET PG stands for the Common University Entrance Test for Postgraduate admissions. It is applicable for over 150 central, state and private universities, which include Delhi University, Jawaharlal University, and Banaras Hindu University.
The National Testing Agency conducts CUET in a computer-based format for courses like MA, MSc, MCom, MBA, MTech, LLM, etc.
The purpose of CUET PG is to create a level playing field by having just a single national exam for all PG admissions.
The exam dates for CUET PG for 2026 is March 6-27.
The CUET PG comprises 75 MCQs, which must be attempted in 105 minutes. Every correct answer is worth 4 marks, and every wrong answer deducts 1 mark. CUET PG papers are also subject-specific.
CUET PG 2026 results will come out in April or May.
