XLRI Full Form: Xavier School of Management, founded in 1949, is a business school in Jamshedpur, India. It is one of the oldest and most reputed business schools in India. The school offers postgraduate programs in Business Management, General Management, and Human Resources. In the recently released NIRF 2024 rankings, XLRI Jamshedpur secured the 9th position in the ‘Management’ category, reaffirming its excellence in management education.

Update: The last date to apply for GMP through XAT is December 05, 2025 and through GMAT/GRE is December 31, 2025.

XLRI Full Form: Eligibility Criteria

Read the following eligibility criteria:

Applicants should have a recognized Bachelor’s Degree of minimum three years duration or its equivalent in any discipline. Those who will be completing their final examination by June 12, 2025, are also eligible to apply. All Indian candidates must appear for XAT 2025. However, NRI and Foreign candidates may apply through GMAT scores.

Prospective XLRI candidates must apply for their preferred programs. It’s important to note that each institution determines the weightage given to each test component based on its specific requirements. Selection Criteria for PGDM (HRM) | (BM) | (GM) Course at XLRI

  • Stage 1: Registration fee for XAT / GMAT/ GRE
    • Indian candidate registering through XAT 2026 Rs. 2200/- and Rs 200/- each for every additional programme of XLRI
    • Foreign and NRI candidates registering through XAT 2026 Rs. 5000/- (for one or more programme(s))
    • Indian candidate through GMAT / GRE Rs. 2500/- (only for PGDM(GM))

    All GMAT / GRE applicants must take their GMAT / GRE between January 01, 2022 and December 31, 2025.

  • Stage 2: Shortlisted Candidates
    • The names of the XAT and GMAT candidates will be shortlisted by January 31, 2026 (tentative).
  • Stage 3: Interview Process
    • The interview for HRM candidates through XAT and GMAT will be conducted between mid-February and March 2026.
