The CCMT seat allotment for 2024 will be done on the basis of the seat matrix, merit list, and reservation policies. However, if there is a tie between two candidates, the following norms will be followed:

  1. Candidates with older GATE scores will be given preference over the ones with newer scores.
  2. If the year of taking the GATE exam is the same, then the candidate with higher marks will be given preference.
  3. Despite this, if the tie persists, the candidate with the higher GATE rank will be given the seat.
  4. If the AIR is also the same, then age will come into play. The older candidate will be given preference.
  5. Lastly, if the tie still continues, then random number generation will be used to determine the hierarchy of the candidates.

The CCMT 2024 process is a critical part of getting admission to the top NITs, IIITs, and CFTIs in India. Make sure you confirm your eligibility, fill in the CCMT application form on time, and pay the required fees.
