MH CET Law Merit List 2025 – The Maharashtra CET examination cell has announced the Final Merit List for Round 1 of the MH CET 5-year LLB, which was published on July 30, 2025. The Alphabetical List for the 3-year LLB came out on July 28, 2025, with its Final Merit List for Round 1 set to be released on August 2, 2025, after addressing any grievances. The examination cell also shared the tentative CAP schedule for both the MH CET 5-year LLB 2025 and the 3-year LLB programs.

Registration for the MH CET Law 2025 CAP process has finished on the admission portal for both 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB courses- cetcell.mahacet.org/cap-_2025-26. Notifications for Maharashtra Law CET 3-year LLB came out on June 30, 2025, while the counselling registration dates for 5-year LLB were published on June 26, 2025.

Finally, results for MH CET 3-year LLB were declared by the CET body of Maharashtra on June 20, 2025, whereas results for MAH CET 5-year LLB were declared on June 04, 2025. The MAH CET examination cell had previously held the MH CET Law 3-year LLB examination on May 02, 2025, and May 03, 2025, whereas the MH CET Law 2025 5-year LLB was held on April 28, 2025.

MH CET Law Counselling 2025

The Centralized Admission Process (CAP) is the online counselling process for MH CET Law, conducted separately for the 3-year and 5-year LLB programs. For the 5-year LLB 2025 course, approximately 11,480 seats are available across 153 participating colleges. The 3-year LLB program offers around 19,780 seats in 201 colleges.

Below is provided a brief information on the MHCET law 2025 counselling procedure:

 

Registration: All candidates eligible for counselling must register for counselling online, fill in their choice of colleges, and pay the counselling fee.

 

Document Verification: The committee of admission then e-verifies the documents uploaded by the candidate, along with the details entered by him/her in the application form. Only such candidates who clear the document verification will be taken to the next step.

 

Publication of Alphabetical Merit List: The merit list will contain the names of candidates shortlisted for counselling and the seat allotment procedure.

 

Submission of Grievances: Any candidate who objects to the merit list can file his/her objection.     

 

Publication of Final Merit List: The final list will be published after considering the objections of candidates and making corrections, if any, to the provisional list. 

 

Allotment of Seats: The final seat allotment will be based on: 

1) MH CET Law 2025 merit rank of the candidate; and,

2) College options filled at the time of counselling registration.

It is to be noted that there will be two rounds of CAP. The respective law colleges will fill any seats remaining vacant after the CAP allotment rounds at an institutional level.
