How to Fill SET Application Form 2026: Step-by-Step Process

Step 1: Visit the Official Website. Navigate to the official SET portal at www.set-test.org.

Step 2: New User Registration.

 Click on the “Register here” or “Apply Now” icon. 

Read all terms and conditions carefully and agree to them. Fill in basic details, including:

  • Full Name
  • Date of Birth
  • Gender
  • Valid Email ID
  • Mobile Number

Step 3: Upload Required Documents. Upload a recent coloured passport-size photograph (not older than 3 months). 

Follow the specified format and size requirements. Ensure the image is clear and meets all guidelines.

Step 4: Complete the Registration Form. Enter the One-Time Password (OTP) sent to your registered mobile number and email ID. 

Your SET ID will be generated automatically. Save this ID for future reference.

Step 5: Fill the Application Form. Log in using your SET ID and password. 

  • Select your preferred test date (Test 1 or Test 2). 
  • Choose up to 3 preferred test cities (on a first-come, first-served basis). 
  • Select your examination category. 
  • Enter educational qualifications accurately. 
  • Provide guardian/parent information. 
  • Fill in permanent address details.

Step 6: Select Programs and Institutes. 

  • Choose the undergraduate programs you wish to apply for. 
  • Select the Symbiosis institutes where you want to pursue these programs. 
  • Pay INR 1,000 for each institute selected.

Step 7: Pay the entrance test registration fee of INR 2,250 (plus taxes). 

  • Choose your preferred payment method. 
  • For DD payments, fill in the payment advice form and send it along with the DD.

Step 8: Submit and Download. Review all entered information carefully. 

Click on “Submit” after verifying all details. 

Download and print the application form for future reference.

Important: No changes can be made after submission.

SET 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Before you proceed with the SET registration form, it is important to check whether you meet the SET 2026 eligibility criteria given by the exam-conducting body. To apply for the SET Exam 2026, you must fulfil the following criteria:

  • You must have passed Class 12 (10+2) or an equivalent examination from a recognised board or university with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST candidates).
  • If you are appearing for the Class 12 examination in 2026, you can still apply for the exam. However, you will have to submit the passing certificate at the time of admission.
  • Students awaiting their Class 12 results are also eligible to apply for the SET exam on a provisional basis. Those who have completed Class 12 from a foreign board and obtained an equivalence certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) are also eligible.
  • Applicants for the Symbiosis Entrance Test have no upper age limit, but must be at least 17 years of age to be eligible for the exam.
