What is SLAT 2026?

SLAT (Symbiosis Law Admission Test) is the entrance test conducted by Symbiosis International University (SIU). It is required for the admission into 5-Year Integrated Law Programs (BA LLB and BBA LLB) offered by:

  • Symbiosis Law School (SLS), Pune
  • Symbiosis Law School (SLS), Noida
  • Symbiosis Law School (SLS), Hyderabad
  • Symbiosis Law School (SLS), Nagpur

The admission process includes the SLAT score, followed by a Personal Interview (PI). Earlier, the Writing Ability Test (WAT) was a component, but it has now been removed.

 

CLAT vs SLAT: Is slat harder than CLAT?

CLAT is harder than SLAT due to its more extensive syllabus. The CLAT exam is held for the admissions into the National law universities. The greater competition for CLAT with higher number of applicants makes it more complex than SLAT. Additionally, the CLAT exam pattern has negative marking whereas SLAT exam has no negative marking.

 

How many seats are in SLAT exam?

The total intake for the SLAT exam is about 1,080 seats. These seats are collectively offered by its participating Symbiosis Law Schools (SLS), namely; SLS Pune, SLS Noida, SLS Hyderabad, and SLS Nagpur campuses for the BA LLB and BBA LLB programs.

 

What percentile is good in SLAT?

Is 92 percentile good in SLAT or a percentile score between 90 and 95 is good? You might also be planning to score the best percentile in SLAT but stuck on deciding the target. A good percentile for SLAT depends on the particular Symbiosis school’s cutoffs. Usually, a 90 percentile is a good score for entering Symbiosis Pune Law School.  Usually, 75 percentile is the minimum requirement for top Symbiosis Law Colleges.
