MAH MBA CET 2026 Exam Analysis SLOT 1
CET 2026 is being held across three days from April 6 to April 8.
The Slot 1 of CET-2026 took place today from 9:00 am to 11:30 am (April 6, 2026).
This analysis is based on the feedback received from IMS students and experts who appeared for CET 2026 in the first slot.
CET-2026 maintained a total of 200 questions. The question paper was divided into different sections. The level of difficulty was in the range of easy to moderate.

- The test was of moderate difficulty on Day 1 Slot 1
- As usual, CET 2026 consisted of 200 questions to be attempted in 150 minutes
- Since there is NO Negative Marking in CET, candidates are expected to attempt all 200 questions.
- IMS estimate of good attempts refers to the number of serious attempts and excludes random attempts.
- Interface – The candidate’s photograph appeared on the left side of the screen. The question panel was on the right side. It could be collapsed/hidden. Many questions appeared in the split-screen format. The 4 sections could be accessed at any time with the help of the dropdown menu. The candidate’s roll/application number appeared as a watermark on the screen.
Verbal Ability/Reading Comprehension
The test consisted of 50 questions with 20 RC questions and 30 VA questions. Overall, the VARC was moderate. There were 4 Reading Comprehension passages ranging from around 400 words to 550 words in length. The VA section was relatively easy. It was dominated by vocabulary questions. Most of the VA questions could be answered quickly and accurately.

Quantitative Aptitude
There were about 50 questions. The level of difficulty of the questions on Quantitative Aptitude was easy.
There were maximum questions on Arithmetic, Numbers, Modern Mathematics, Data Sufficiency and Geometry.

Logical Reasoning
There were around 75 questions in the Logical Reasoning section. In Non-Verbal Reasoning, there were LR Caselets, Coding Decoding, Directions, Family Tree, Number Series, QA Reasoning based questions, Venn Diagram based questions, Directions, Family tree sets etc.
In Verbal Reasoning, there were 15 questions. The questions in this section were moderate.

Overall difficulty of the questions on Logical Reasoning was moderate.
Visual Reasoning
There were 25 questions on Visual Reasoning. There were questions on series completion, analogies and odd man out, mirror image, paper cutting. Some questions from the area of Figure based numerical puzzles, No of triangle, squares also appeared. The overall difficulty level was in the range of easy to medium.
