Back in the eighties when management education in India was still at its nascent stage, IMS foresaw how management education will develop and gain prominence in the next few decades in India. As any start-up IMS too had its humble beginnings with a vision to fill the lacuna that existed in test preparation that students aspiring to pursue management education faced at the time. Since then we have not looked back and over these four and a half decades our focus has been purely on “Students’ Success”, which has been a key driver to achieve this leadership position in the Test-prep industry today.
In our journey, we have witnessed and led transformative changes in delivering education. IMS had started coaching for CAT when there were only 3 IIMs in the country. From teaching a few students in a makeshift classroom to delivering Live online lectures to 10,000+ students on a daily basis, we have come a long way. More than 1.5 million IMS alumni hold important positions in the corporate world. It’s a matter of pride for all IMS stakeholders that IMS has been instrumental in shaping the career paths of these students.
In the last decade, IMS group has spread its wing and established IMS Proschool and Praxis. IMS Proschool has trained 20,000+ students for professional courses and is consistently rated as one of the top 5 Data Science training institute in India. Praxis is a reputed B-School with a AICTE approved PG program and other short term programs with campuses in Kolkata and Bengaluru .

History has witnessed innumerable changes in the way coaching is delivered, from correspondence education to Ed Tech. Given the accelerated pace of technology and understanding how the future of management education is going to be shaped by education technology, we have been responsive to change while consistently upholding our student-centric values and objectives.

The Mentorship program pioneered by IMS in 2016 has redefined the process of career guidance. Our academic team, re-designated as ‘mentors’ a few years back have helped lakhs of students through personalized mentorship. The Mentorship program has helped students navigate career related queries and have propelled their successful corporate careers.
