JIPMAT 2026 Eligibility

To be eligible for JIPMAT 2026:

  • Candidates must have passed Class 12 (or an equivalent examination) with at least 60% marks (General / OBC‑NCL / EWS), or 55% marks if they belong to SC, ST, PwD, or Transgender categories.
  • Candidates must also satisfy the minimum Class 10 marks criterion (same percentages)
  • For the 2026 intake, candidates must have passed Class 10 in 2022 or later per NTA; IIM Jammu specifies 2022+, IIM Bodh Gaya 2023+
  • If you are appearing for your Class 12 exams in 2026, you are still eligible to apply, provided you fulfil all eligibility requirements by July 31, 2026.

Your marks are calculated according to your board’s rules. If no specific calculation method is prescribed, the aggregate marks of all subjects mentioned on the marksheet will be considered.

Equivalent Class 12 Qualifications

The following are recognized as equivalent to Class 12 for JIPMAT eligibility:

  1. Candidates who have completed Plus Two‑level examinations under the 10+2 pattern from a recognised State or Central Board (including State Boards of Secondary Education, Central Board of Secondary Education, and the Council for Indian School Certificate Examination) are eligible.
  2. Candidates who have completed an Intermediate or two‑year Pre‑University examination conducted by a recognised university or board are also eligible.

 

Candidates appearing through the Senior Secondary School Examination (SSSE) route must have passed at least five subjects, including English, from NIOS or the State Board of Open Schooling (SBOS).

The JIPMAT exam follows the Government of India reservation norms for admissions to Central Educational Institutions. The seats are distributed as follows:
