CLAT 2024 Answer Key (Out) – Check How to Download and Raise Objections

The Consortium of NLUs released the provisional CLAT 2024 answer key on December 4, 2023. However, due to technical glitches, it was later removed from the Consortium’s website. Fortunately, the glitches were resolved, and the revised provisional CLAT Answer Key was released again on the same day.

The answer key is released in two phases every year – the CLAT 2024 Provisional Answer Key and the CLAT 2024 Final Answer Key. The final answer key for CLAT 2024 is slated to be released on December 9, 2023, a day before the CLAT 2024 results.

Importance of CLAT 2024 Answer Key 

The primary goal behind releasing the answer key early is to aid students in estimating their probable scores. With estimated scores in hand, students will be able to gauge the colleges they can apply for and take the necessary subsequent steps. Using the answer key, candidates can calculate their total CLAT score. 

By comparing the answer key with the candidate’s answers, candidates can predict their likely CLAT score and estimate their chances of admission. 24 NLUs plus several top private law colleges accept the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) scores for admission to the 5-year LLB and LLM courses. 

CLAT Answer Key 2024: Dates 

How do you download the CLAT Answer key 2024 pdf? 

The candidates can check the answer key only through the online mode. Here’s how you can download the key in a few easy steps:

1. Visit the official website of CLAT Consortium, i.e. consortiumofnlus.ac.in. 
2. Click on the CLAT Answer Key tab. 
3. Under the notification tab, one will find the UG and PG answer key pdf. 
4. Click on the course and enter the login details like registration ID and password. 
5. The answer key PDF will be shown on the screen. 
6. Download the answer key and save it for future reference. 

How to calculate the CLAT UG 2024 score using the CLAT Answer Key? 

Candidates who are calculating their CLAT 2024 marks can use the following formula to simplify the process.

1: Count the number of correct responses (A)
2: Count the number of incorrect answers (B)
3: Using the formula, your CLAT 2024 total marks = [A- (0.25X B]

CLAT Marking Scheme 

Candidates who intend to calculate their CLAT 2024 score should know the CLAT marking scheme and estimate their score accordingly. Based on the CLAT marking scheme released by the Consortium of NLUs: 

1. 1 mark is allotted for every correct answer. 
2. 0.25 marks are deducted for every incorrect answer. 
3. No marks for questions left unattempted. 

CLAT 2024 cutoffs out of 120

Due to changes in the paper pattern and the relatively easy CLAT 2024 exam, cutoffs will likely be higher than the previous years. Candidates with 90+ scores will be more likely to gain admission to the highest tier of NLUs in the country. For tier 2 and tier 3 NLUs, 65+ marks will be required. 

Steps to raise objections against the CLAT Answer Key 2024: 

The following are the steps to object to the Answer Key:

• Visit the official website of the CLAT Consortium 2024. 
• Login to your CLAT account at https://consortiumofnlus.ac.in/clat-2024/ using your registration number and password. 
• Click on the submit objection link. 
• Select the question booklet set and the type of objection. 
• Select the question number, and enter your objection and proof of objection (if any). 
• Click on the submit button to submit your objection. 
• Pay the amount online to raise objections.

Objection submission fee for the CLAT Answer Key 2024 

There is a fee of Rs. 1000 for each objection submitted by a candidate in response to the Answer Key. The objection raised without payment of the applicable fee will not be considered. However, if the objection is sustained, the consortium will refund the fee. The refund will be credited to the same account that was used to make the payment.

CLAT Answer Key Analysis 2024 

If the objections the candidates raise are sustained, the consortium changes the provisional answer keys for all sets of papers. As a result, all candidates’ CLAT scores will be revised. If there are any changes to the CLAT answer key, the same will be updated in this section.

Final CLAT Answer Key 

After the objection period ends, the consortium will release the final answer key. Moreover, the revised provisional answer key will be announced rather than released separately. Candidates’ CLAT results will be determined based on the definitive answer key.   

CLAT Result 2024 

The consortium will announce CLAT 2024 results on December 10, 2023. Among other details, the results of CLAT 2024 will include the marks achieved by the candidate in the CLAT exam, the All India rank, and the category rank. The results of CLAT 2024 will be published online at consortiumofnlus.ac.in. 

The CLAT examination has no qualifying marks. The candidates will be shortlisted and placed on the invite list based on their ranking. Afterwards, only those candidates on this invite list will be invited for CLAT counselling. CLAT scores are used by 24 national law universities (NLUs) for admission to undergraduate and graduate programs. 

In addition, close to 60+ private colleges accept CLAT scores. The candidates can also apply for admission to these institutes if they cannot enter NLUs.
