CLAT Result 2026 is Live – Download Your Scorecard Here

Update – The Consortium of NLUs has declared the CLAT result 2026. Students can log onto the official website and follow the steps below to download their CLAT result and scorecard.

The CLAT 2026 was held on 7th December 2025 at 143 centres spanning the country. The exam went by without any hiccups as thousands of students set their eyes on securing admission to the top NLUs and other private law institutions. A provisional answer key was released on 10th December along with the objection window.

CLAT result 2026 – Highlights

1. The final CLAT result, scorecard, and merit list is out on official website.
2. The CLAT 2026 exam date was 7th December 2025.
3. The provisional answer key was out earlier, and the objection window was opened from 10th to 12th December, 2025.
4. After the objection window is closed, each objection will be studied. The ones deemed appropriate will be used to alter the answer key and question paper.
5. After the result, students can start registering for the admission counselling process sit for the allotments.

CLAT Result 2026 – Steps to Download CLAT Scorecard

Once the CLAT result is declared, just follow these steps to view and download your scorecard:

1. Visit the official website for CLAT 2026 – consortiumofnlus.ac.in.
2. Log in to the student portal with your registered phone number and password.
3. You’ll be redirected to your CLAT dashboard.
4. On your dashboard, you’ll find the CLAT Results tab.
5. Click on it to view your scorecard.
6. On the same screen, you can also download your scorecard for future reference.

What After You’ve Checked Your CLAT 2026 Results?

Viewing your CLAT result is just step 1 of the overall CLAT admission and counselling process. Along with your scorecard, the Consortium of NLUs will also release the merit list. The merit list is a rank-wise list of all CLAT candidates based on their CLAT result. You will get your All-India rank as well as your Category and State rank. It is on the basis of this list that you’ll be allotted your colleges. 

But first, you’ll need to complete the CLAT admission counselling registration form with your basic details and college preferences. Your college allotment will depend on the colleges you choose and the cutoff ranks. Remember, the cutoff ranks for tier-1 NLUs usually remain <250, while the other NLUs can go up to <2000. 

As per past year trends, around 20,000 candidates will be invited for the common counselling process for the NLUs. Also check the total CLAT seats in India across all NLUs. Here are the steps you must follow to ensure you make it to your target college:

1. After registering on the common admission and counselling portal, eligible candidates will be invited for further counselling.
2. Once the CLAT allotment list is out, you can either accept your allotment and pay the requisite fees to freeze your seat or apply for an upgrade by floating your allotment. 
3. If you end up accepting an upgrade, you’ll have to wait for subsequent allotment lists. Once you get your desired college, you can follow step 2 to freeze your allotment.
