MH CET Law 2025 – The CET Cell Maharashtra will tentatively release the MH CET Law 2025 Notification in October 2024. The notification will include the registration and exam dates for the 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB entrance tests. The MH CET Law 2025 regulation for 3-year LLB will tentatively start in March 2025 on the official MAH CET website, cetcell.mahacet.org. The registration for the MH CET Law 5-year LLB exam 2025 is likely to commence in February 2025.

Eligibility Criteria for MAH-LLB (5 Years):

Prospective candidates must meet the following criteria before applying for MHCET Law 2025:

  • Nationality: Applicants must be Indian citizens.
  • Educational Qualifications: Candidates should have passed the HSC/12th examination or its equivalent from a recognised board. The minimum aggregate marks required may vary according to the category to which the candidate belongs.
  • Age Limit: There is no upper age limit for appearing in the MHCET Law exam.
  • Reservation: Reserved category candidates are eligible for relaxation in qualifying marks as per the rules of the Government of Maharashtra.

MHCET Law 2025 Exam Pattern:

The MHCET Law 2025 exam pattern is designed to assess candidates’ aptitude and skills necessary for pursuing a career in law. 

  1. Mode of Examination: The exam is conducted in offline mode (pen and paper-based).
  2. Type of Questions: The exam asks multiple-choice questions (MCQs).

MHCET Law MAH-LLB (5 Years) Syllabus:

Legal Aptitude and Legal Reasoning:

  • Legal Propositions: Understanding of legal principles and their application to factual situations.
  • Legal Maxims: Familiarity with commonly used legal maxims and their interpretations.
  • Law of Torts: Basics of tort law including negligence, nuisance, defamation, and vicarious liability.
  • Law of Contracts: Essential elements of a valid contract, breach of contract, and remedies available.
  • Constitutional Law: Fundamental rights, directive principles, and basic structure of the Indian Constitution.
  • Legal Reasoning: Analyzing and applying legal principles to solve hypothetical situations.

 

General Knowledge of Current Affairs:

  • National and International Events: Awareness of recent developments in politics, economics, sports, and culture.

Logical and Analytical Reasoning:

  • Analogies: Recognizing and understanding relationships between words, concepts, or ideas.
  • Syllogisms: Evaluating logical arguments based on given premises and conclusions.
  • Blood Relations: Solving problems based on family relationships and blood connections.
  • Coding-Decoding: Deciphering coded messages or patterns.
  • Series: Identifying patterns and sequences in numbers, letters, or figures.

 

English:

  • Reading Comprehension: Understanding passages and answering questions based on the information provided.
  • Vocabulary: Synonyms, antonyms, analogies, and word meanings.
  • Grammar: Parts of speech, sentence structure, tenses, and punctuation.
  • Para-jumbles: Arranging jumbled sentences to form a coherent paragraph.
  • Error Correction: Identifying and correcting errors in sentences.

 

Mathematical Aptitude:

  • Arithmetic: Basic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division), percentages, profit and loss, simple and compound interest.
  • Algebra: Equations, inequalities, polynomials, and quadratic equations.
  • Geometry: Basic concepts of lines, angles, triangles, circles, and polygons.
  • Mensuration: Area, perimeter, and volume of geometric shapes.
