IIM Sirmaur BMS Program: The Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS) program at IIM Sirmaur aims to attract inquisitive and highly motivated students across the country who are dedicated to pursuing knowledge. The Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS) programme is dedicated to making the vision of Viksit Bharat@2047 a reality. Students will receive comprehensive instruction in various disciplines, including fundamental statistics, mathematics, management principles, functional management areas, economics, communication, psychology, humanities and social sciences, sustainability, and public policy. The programme is structured across eight semesters, spanning four years.
In the sixth semester, participants will gain international/industry exposure through planned exchange programs or internships. The curriculum also incorporates practical learning via live and capstone projects. BMS graduates with a minimum CGPA of 8.0 will be eligible to join the institute’s MBA program, which offers an opportunity to become a part of the institute.

Candidates seeking admission are required to successfully complete the Integrated Programme in Management Aptitude Test (IPMAT), a rigorous assessment designed to evaluate proficiencies in quantitative ability, verbal comprehension, and logical reasoning. This selection procedure ensures the admission of highly qualified individuals, thereby upholding the esteemed academic standards of the Indian Institute of Management Sirmaur.
IIM Sirmaur BMS Program 2025: Admission Process
The IIM Sirmaur admission process is divided into three phases:
Phase 1: Participation in the IPMAT Indore 2025 examination. Shortlisting and selection for the Personal Interview (PI) will be based on the Aptitude Test Scores (ATS) derived from IPMAT results.
Phase 2: Candidates must appear for the Personal Interview at IIM Sirmaur, which is subsequent to Phase 1. They must fulfill the established eligibility criteria and cutoff scores for the PI.
Phase 3: Final selection will be determined by the computation of a composite score for each candidate, calculated as follows:

IIM Sirmaur BMS Program: Program Curriculum
The undergraduate curriculum spans eight semesters, and each of these instructions is aimed at providing a well-rounded education that integrates core academic subjects, skill-building, and personal development.
Students are introduced in Semester 1 to the foundational subjects of Mathematics, Economics, Psychology, and Information Systems, as well as to courses of value such as Philosophy, Ethics, Indian Knowledge Systems, and Sports & Yoga. These are taken along with Oral Communication-I, which helps hone our skills in that area.
Semester 2 takes all of this foundational work and builds upon it with coursework in Macroeconomics, Statistics, and Management. It also begins the journey into Programming Languages and Business Laws while continuing the development of necessary communication and critical thinking skills with Oral Communication-II and Philosophy-II.
In Semester 3, areas like Microeconomics, Accounting, Business Operations, Organizational Behaviour, and Optimization will be explored by students. The curriculum gets enriched with subjects that allow for creative expressions, such as French-I and Dance and Drama-I, along with courses in Sociology and Environmental Studies.
Semester 4 concentrates on applied learning in Industrial Psychology, Strategic Thinking, and Public Policy I. It hones our communication and critical thinking skills and provides us with more industry-relevant knowledge in topics like Intellectual Property, French-II, Supply Chain Management, and Financial Markets.
The personal and professional growth students are supposed to attain as a result of the 5th semester. It emphasizes on courses like Happiness & Mental Wellbeing, Public Policy-II, Corporate Finance, Tourism Management, and Research Methods. It also covers subjects such as Indian Economy and Industrial Relations.
Practical exposure through an Industry Internship or International Exchange program is what Semester 6 is all about, and it carries a weight of 12 credits.
In Semester 7, students start the path of specialization with essential courses in Entrepreneurship, Business Standards, and a Dissertation. They also pick four electives fine-tuned to their favorites, not to mention some serious reflective learning via Movies & Philosophy.
Semester 8 is built around four more electives, a Capstone Project, and the Dissertation. These all lead towards a comprehensive consolidation of the whole program.
