First Take on CAT 2023 Slot 1 by IMS Experts with details on Test Structure, Sectional & Overall Overview.
Slot 1 Analysis
The first slot of CAT 2023 took place today between 8.30 am and 10:30 am.
The structure of CAT 2023 remained largely the same as in 2022, with 66 questions in all. However, the DILR and Verbal sections saw some changes in segmentation and the number of MCQs and TITA. Verbal Section saw a minor change in segmentation with the Odd Sentence Questions coming back after 2021. The VA Section had 2 questions each of Summary, Paragraph Jumbles, Paragraph Completion, and Odd Sentence questions.

The Verbal Section saw a minor change in segmentation with the Odd Sentence Questions coming back after 2021. The structure of CAT 2023 Slot 3 remained the same as in the first two slots, with 66 questions in all. However, the DILR and Verbal sections saw some changes in segmentation and the number of MCQs and TITA. The Verbal Section saw a minor change in segmentation with the Odd Sentence Questions coming back after 2021. The VA Section had 2 questions each of Summary, Paragraph Jumbles, Paragraph Completion, and Odd Sentence questions.

- If you have submitted your valid documents between 9:30 a.m. and 7:00 p.m on business working days (Monday to Saturday excluding public holidays), we will verify the documents submitted and send you a coupon code for the applicable waiver within 4 working hrs.
- If you have submitted your valid documents after 7:00 PM or on non-working days you will receive the coupon code the next working day.
- Request all students to submit only valid documents. If any discrepancy is found during the verification or at a later stage, the access to the student’s account may be withdrawn.
- Once you get the Waiver Code, please apply the waiver code while filling the online enrolment form.
- Please do not make the payment without applying/availing the coupon code. If this is not followed, no refund will be provided for the extra fee paid with respect to the applicable waiver.
- Waiver policy and Prices are subject to change without prior notice and no refund will be provided under any circumstances.
- At any time, you can avail only ONE of the scholarships that the student is eligible for.
- Also, you cannot combine the scholarships with any other offers/ waivers offered by IMS at the time of enrolment.
