What is CMAT?
The Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is a national-level entrance exam conducted for admission to MBA/PGDM programs offered by AICTE-approved institutes across India. It tests a candidate’s aptitude in Quantitative Techniques, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension, General Awareness, and Innovation & Entrepreneurship. CMAT scores are accepted by 1,000+ B-schools, making it a popular option for MBA aspirants seeking quality management education. The CMAT score is accepted by all AICTE- Approved Institutions/ University Departments/ Constituent Colleges / Affiliated Colleges.
What is the marking scheme of CMAT?
- +4 marks for correct answers
- −1 mark for incorrect answers
Is CAT preparation sufficient for CMAT?
Partially. CAT covers Quant, LR, and Verbal, but General Awareness and Innovation & Entrepreneurship need separate preparation.
What is the Eligibility Criteria for taking the CMAT?
To appear for the CMAT, a candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university. Final-year undergraduate students are also eligible to apply, provided they complete their degree before admission. There is no minimum percentage requirement, no age limit, and no restriction on the number of attempts for the CMAT exam.
Who is the IMS CMAT program designed for?

How do I access Live, online classes?
On successful completion of the enrolment process, students receive a welcome mailer with an IMS PIN. Post that, log in to https://myimsv3.imsindia.com/ and reset the password. Use these credentials to join the IMS LIVE platform and to attend live online classes. The email address will be the one given during the enrolment process. The same IMS PIN & password should be used to log in to the myIMS student portal.
Can the full-length mock tests be attempted on any device?
We believe full-length tests are sacrosanct and need to be taken on a larger screen and exactly the way you would take them on the test day. Full-length Mocks can be taken only on Desktops & Laptops. By design, they cannot be taken on tabs and Mobile phones.
