SNAP 2019 Eligibility, Shortlisting & Selection Process

Candidates aspiring to join MBA / MSc programmes offered by Institutes of Symbiosis International (Deemed University) [SIU] have to appear for the common, mandatory Symbiosis National Aptitude (SNAP) Online Test 2019. A candidate needs to register for SNAP Test and also register for the Institute(s) offering her/his choice of programme(s) by paying separate registration fee for each programme. If shortlisted, s/he would then need to attend the further admission (GE-PIWAT) process conducted by each of these Institutes individually.

The registration process for SNAP & the Institutes is integrated. Candidates can complete the SNAP as well as programme registrations in the same portal (

SNAP 2019 Eligibility:

Indian Nationals:

  • The candidate should be a graduate from any recognised / statutory University or Institution of National Importance with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade (45% marks or equivalent grade for Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribes).
  • Candidates appearing for final year examinations can also apply, but their admission will be subject to obtaining a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade (45% marks or equivalent grade for Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribes).

Note: Admission of such candidate will be provisional and will be cancelled in the event of non-fulfillment of the above stated criteria.

  • A candidate who has completed qualifying degree from any Foreign University must obtain an equivalence certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). All foreign degrees / qualifications need to be verified from AIU by the candidate before seeking admission to any programme of SIU.

SNAP 2019 Shortlisting and Selection Process

Shortlisting for Group Exercise, Personal Interaction and Writing Ability Test (GE-PIWAT):
Candidates will be shortlisted for GE-PIWAT based on their overall SNAP Percentile. Please check the respective Institute website for information and dates of GE-PIWAT.

Disclaimer: It is mandatory to attend all components / tests of GE-PI-WAT to be eligible for admission to any PG programmes. Only candidates who attend all components / tests of selection process (GE-PI-WAT) shall be considered as eligible for generation of merit / wait / reject list. Candidates who remain absent for any one of the component / test will be considered as ineligible for selection process of any of the MBA / MSc degree programmes of SIU.

Category-wise cut off for Merit List and Wait List will be displayed on the website of the respective Institutes. Wait list movement will depend upon the vacant seats available.
